Legal Aid:

Free or inexpensive legal advice, assistance, or representation provided to those who, because of financial constraints would not be able to afford/manage it. Legal aid schemes usually require that the matter for which aid is requested must have at least a 50 percent chance of succeeding in the court. Normally, legal aid cannot be availed of where (1) alternative funding is available to the party requesting it, (2) the case is likely to be heard by the small claims court, (3) the case involves corporate matters, or (4) involves administration of trusts, inheritance and wills, and/or land ownership. The free or inexpensive services of an attorney, provided to individuals, typically defendants in criminal cases who are not otherwise able to afford an attorney.

In this field we intend to do the following:-

Our Foundation has already provided free legal aid to needy and poor children and adults; got them released on bails / acquittals and also arranged penalty amounts for them. These services were provided during our jail project 2005-2007. We are still providing these services.

A separate group of lawyers is to be formed to provide immediate legal aid to children as well as those involved in minor offences, for immediate relief and speedy justice.

Regular appearance / pleading of cases in all Courts of Law to get justice within a reasonable time period.

In order to achieve maximum results in the legal aid sector, it is necessary to establish separate office premises equipped with computerized (I.T) facilities along with a good well-stocked library.
